The Medical and Health Science Centre has been receiving foreign students since 1986 for training in general medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. Since 2003 a master course in Public Health is also running with students from different parts of the world (from Asia, Africa and Europe, as well). At present almost 2000 foreign students study at these programs.
On the basis of accumulated experience and expertise of national and international staff members the Faculty of Public Health is fully prepared to launch BSc courses in Public Health and Physiotherapy for English speaking students in 2009. These courses are traditionally among the most popular ones in the undergraduate programme of the University. The course is based on the University’s highly trained, internationally competitive staff and excellent infrastructure in order to fulfill an international demand in health science training. If you choose one of these courses you will gain practical skills which will stay with you for life.
Both faculty members and the administrative staff of the University have several years of experience in training and guiding students from abroad in English language. The well-trained and enthusiastic staff of the Faculty of Public Health is dedicated to tutorial work, to sharing and discussing ideas. As the majority of them received their MSc or PhD degree at leading European universities, they comprehend not only the global issues of public health, but the experience and difficulties of studying abroad as well. Among the walls the Faculty of Public Health offer to its students a rich variety of learning experience and lively student life.
